[ and so they meet, ivy almost cordial in her presentation of a purple and blue bouquet of flowers from the many plants that found their way into her apartment after that strange magic took over. it's a nice arrangement – ivy has a pretty good eye when it comes to such things, even if she knows that the flowers won't matter in the end.
in fact, they're sitting a chair away from the two of them, settled in the back of a movie theatre. she's nearly forgotten what they meant to see.
actually she has entirely forgotten what the meant to see. she's kind of busy being wrapped up in octavia. it's nice that this is actually familiar to her, familiar lips and skin and touch. it's far too warm now, and she's already regretting the sweater she pulled on before leaving. they've lifted the armrest between them to settle in close and she's pretty sure they have enough privacy in the dark. it's perfect. ivy can't help but giggle against octavia's lips. ]
[ octavia, in the meantime, is completely comfortable with what she is wearing on the date, especially because the air between them is heating up even in the slightly chilly movie theater.

Guess you've gotta up your game next time. [ is she presumptuous? maybe. maybe not. she has a feeling there will be more next times since every time she hangs out with octavia, something good tends to happen.

ivy's moved on from fervent kissing to getting handsy, fingers curled into her skirt, moving up to her waist. it's not really an ideal position to be in, since movie theatre seats only have so much give, but she has always enjoyed the thrill of being caught and doesn't suggest moving. ]
[ oh, there will be more next times. octavia likes ivy. not just because she likes kissing ivy. she thinks ivy's not like any other girl she's ever met. not that she has much to compare it to, given the way the first seventeen years of her life was like but still... ivy.
she lets the kissing go on for a bit longer, lets ivy touch her while doing the same, moving her hand to slide up along ivy's arm and throat, thumb brushing along her jaw. but she breaks the kiss a moment later, speaking softly.] I could up it right now... my game.
[ it's difficult to hook up with people without the emotional attachment when most of the time she ends up hooking up with her friends. people she likes and would hang out with without the kissing. ivy, get it together.
or maybe she should just stop overthinking things. it's not like her, putting so much thought into anything, but whatever she has with octavia feels a little bit different than anything else. firsts are special.
goosebumps form on her skin even though she feels hot under the collar. her mouth momentarily goes dry and she smiles. ] It is your game, [ she agrees softly, brushing her nose against hers. ] Ball's in your court.
[ octavia hasn't been all that sentimental about emotional connections but that doesn't mean they aren't nice to have. and well, she likes ivy. they've connected, right? either way, she's eager to up her game right now.
so she nips at ivy's lips playfully before she shifts on the seat, pressing her lips to ivy's jaw before letting her mouth slide as her body moves to sort of straddle ivy's. she doesn't linger in her lap, however. instead, she starts to kiss her way down ivy's body, over her clothes, giving ivy enough time to figure out where she's going and to stop her if she wants.]
[ she used to be the lap sitter, the one on top calling the shots, but eudio has unhorsed ivy in ways she never would have imagined. so she doesn't question it. her hands briefly rest on octavia's hips before she moves further down, closer to the floor.
briefly, her eyes do widen, but she gives into the warm but comforting feeling of being showered with affection. that's how she likes it and that's how she intends to return the favor when octavia is done with whatever she's doing right now.
biting her lip, she gives a small nod down at the other girl. ]
[ well, too bad ivy, today you're the one who's going to be entertaining you, showering you with attention. o grins up at ivy before she slips beneath the other girl's skirt, pressing her lips to her left, inner thigh. the caress is gentle and slow, a brush of the lips, just to test the waters as her fingers slide along the other thigh.]
[ NO COMPLAINTS no complaints whatsoever. she has to envy her a little bit for her daring. here, she'd try to stifle a giggle but the movie itself is loud and full of explosions. they should be just fine today.
